Zabor Dance Project:
The name Zabor is a combination of three important facets that define its philosophy. These are based on two Spanish words: saber and sabor, and the English word: zest. Zabor represents the knowledge of connection, the flavor of music, and the zest for sharing a moment. Artistic director and founder, Edwin Roa emphasizes understanding the history, musicality, and cultural value of each dance as much as the technique of movement. www.zabordance.com
Formed in 2003 as an amateur performance group by Edwin Roa, Etnia’s name comes from the Spanish word meaning ‘ethnic’. Etnia's intent is to showcase the traditional forms of popular social dances.
